  • National Insurance number
  • Employment history (e.g. job application, employment references or secondary employment)
  • Education history (e.g. qualifications)
  • Right to work information

We may use automated data processing techniques—including CV parsing and role matching tools—to assess your suitability for roles based on the information you provide. These tools assist our recruitment teams but are not the sole factor in decision-making.

Lawful bases and data protection rights

Use of Third-Party Data Processors

  • Background screening
  • Cloud-based applicant tracking systems
  • Recruitment platform services

All third-party processors are required to comply with relevant data protection laws (UK GDPR, EU GDPR) and act only on our instructions. We ensure appropriate data processing agreements are in place.

Where we get personal information from

  • Directly from you (e.g. application forms, CVs)
  • From publicly available sources (e.g. LinkedIn) or recruitment agencies acting on your behalf
  • From third-party processors acting under contract with us for recruitment support.

How long we keep information

Recruitment (UK): Personal data of unsuccessful applicants will be retained for up to 6 months after the last action (e.g. rejection, withdrawal, or last communication), unless a longer period is required by law or with your consent.

Recruitment (Netherlands): In compliance with Dutch data protection guidelines (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens), personal data of unsuccessful applicants will be retained for a maximum of 4 weeks after the end of the application process, unless we have explicit consent to retain it for up to 1 year for potential future opportunities.

Expressions of Interest: Data from prospective applicants or participants in early access programmes will be retained for 1 year after last action.

Sharing information outside the UK

Where necessary, we may transfer personal information outside of the UK. When doing so, we comply with the UK GDPR, making sure appropriate safeguards are in place (such as adequacy decisions, participation in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, standard contractual clauses, or appropriate safeguards).
